Welcome to Cape May Victorian Dancers

Cape May Victorian Dancers was founded in 1994 in Cape May, NJ.  We are folks from the Southern New Jersey area who just love to dance.  We study, recreate and demonstrate dances from the 19th and early 20th Century and are dedicated to keeping this wonderful piece of our heritage alive. 

The 19th Century Ball was a wonderful social event. In Cape May, during ball season, a ball was held every night of the week except Sunday.  We will bring to life that wonderful piece of  our history through our period correct dance demonstrations.  All our dances are performed in appropriate period attire, a true living history event.  Let us take you back in time to a place where grace and manners were a way of life.
